Film review of Commando-The one man army.

To begin with,I am a little late to put up the review. This is my first ever review, that I am writing in this blog.Hope that everybody likes it.

So,here I present the review of the movie Commando-The/A one man army.

Title - The title definitely suits the film. It's all about the jaw dropping stunts performed by Vidyut Jamwal, the lead actor of the film.In the movie,he plays a commando held captive by chinese authorities. The film focusses
lightly on the commandos of Indian army, and how hard and strenous training they undergo, for the sake of the country. So,the title is fully justified.

Story line - The story line seems to be a little old aged for the 21st century. It's like the same stereotype action-romance movie, where the hero with all the courage of the world,in his heart,is set out to free his girl from the clutches of society as well as defeat the villain in a final combat. However, inspired from Hong-Kong films, the film shows a few of close combat fight scenes with some junior stunt artists, that displays the martial arts skills of the lead actor,Vidyut.

Music - The film comprises of four songs, among which two of them depict the romantic relation between the lead actors. The item song towards end of the movie, intending to add spice, just makes the film more long
and prolonged. The other song was to depict the feel of love that the villain i.e. the main negative character
feels for the heroine, the main female character.Except the item song, the rest three are good to listen to.
The soundtracks have an extensive use of punjabi rhymes, along with a little dominance of sufi voice backing it.
On a scale of 10,the music scores 6.5.

Action - Well, anything to watch out this movie for,is action. The jaw widening stunts performed by Vidyut Jamwal, without the use of any cables attached was simply mind blowing. The actor who played the role of the chinese assassin was also superb in his work. The three fight scenes in the movie were very well choreographed, and it seemed to be so real, while in reality it is not possible. The end fight scene between Vidyut and the chinese assassin was way too good, which made us feel like some hollywood action movie.Overall, the movie scores 10/10 on action.

Acting - Apart from the mind blowing stunts of Vidyut Jamwal, this movie also gives a chance to see the acting ability of Jaideep Ahlawat, the main villain of the story. He may be regarded as the pace of the movie. It is he who takes the movie forward. His character AK 74,a notorious criminal who is deeply in love with Simrit, the female lead character played by debutant Pooja Chopra,is very well executed by him.He could easily show the expression of anger, wildness, laugh as well as the ferocious aggressiveness, which his character needed.
Pooja Chopra, had nothing much to offer in terms of acting. She played the role of a bubbly punjabi girl, who became a victim of circumstances. Her facial expressions and acting was however, successful in bringing the bubbly girl within herself. The scene where Jaideep kills her parents in front of her could not take out her expressions as it had to be.
Vidyut on the same note, had not too much acting to offer. The heavy dialogue deliveries he made were executed in his own unique style.
The actor who played Jaideep's assistant in crime was also efficient in his work.

Points to be noted -
1)The scenes were shot not in a serial order,as depicted. So,make up should have been taken care of.The hair style of Vidyut frequently changed throughout the movie. His beard also grew up and vanished within seconds.
2)It was really illogical,to show the chinese army escort a prisoner, just using a single army jeep with no extra security.
3)This type of action is only possible in movies.Even reputed martial artists like Jet li,has said that a gun can make years of martial arts training of no use in front of it.So,no one should ever try to imitate it.

Overall,the movie scores 7 out of 10.
