Her Wedding Day

She is looking lovely in a sun kissed gown,
Hairs are tied tightly and she can't even frown.
Her eyes are pulling me intimately close,
Affecting on me like a mild hash dose.

The fireplace is ready, the stage is so lit,
People are eagerly awaiting their visual treat;
The Pujari is engaged in his own deeds,
The crowd is increasing as time slowly proceeds.

It suddenly reminded me of my old graduation days,
She was never my close friend but I admit to distant occasional gaze,
She was a rich student who came by her personal car;
To me she was an adorable but forbidden star!!

Four years went by; from classmates, we became close friends,
I used to fight with my silent feelings everyday,
The fight continues even today; it never ends!!
We both eventually got placed and moved far away,
She moved to a separate city and I chose my hometown to stay;

An emptiness slowly engulfed me,
I missed her so much more.
Her smell, her hair, her lips, her touch,
I started to imagine her minute details to the core.

Then one fine day, she called me,
I picked up with an excited delight,
She informed me of her planned marriage,
And I imagined bashing my head, against the wall with all might!

So, here am I on her wedding day,
She will of someone else very soon,
I could never muster up the courage to tell her,
And thereby was left out like a broken spoon..

But I know I will have to move on,
This emptiness will have to stop,
Dancing at her wedding, I promise myself,
Life will henceforth be smooth and tiptop.........

The Kitten

My pet kitten died yesterday,
I loved it so much.
I am never going to pet an animal again,
I am not gonna do anything as such.

It used to squeak lightly,
It filled my heart with joy.
I played with it, I caressed it often,
To me it was a beautiful living toy.

I used to feed it milk mixed with water,
That I came to know later was wrong,
My lack of knowledge murdered the kitten,
That's why, I decided to dedicate it a song.

The dying moment was so painful to watch,
It tried to squeak but no voice came out,
I started crying, I tried to feed it but in vain,
Alas! All I could do was cry and shout.

At last, it slept in the cardboard box,
Taking it's final breath,
It opened it's mouth and raised it's little claws towards me,
I started to cry more, I wished to halt death.

It had got me in only seven days,
But then, it got taken away.
It couldn't get proper care or nutrition through me,
Hearing that, I had nothing left to feel or to say.

I am sorry that I couldn't save you kid,
I regret that I failed to make us a 'we',
But I promise that you will be born again very soon,
For me to realize that and to see.

I am sorry that I couldn't save you kid,
I regret that I failed to make us a 'we',
But I promise that you will be born again very soon,
For me to realize that and to see.

With this I end my dedicated song,
I wash my tears and will try to move on,
For now, you are gone away from me kid,
You are long long gone...

For You

I would have to go now,
I got work to do.
But remember I will be there,
I will always be there for you.

When life becomes tough for you,
When you sit back in fright,
I promise I will be there,
To make your days shining and bright!!

When come near me,
When you hold me tight,
I promise to strengthen my grip even more,
I promise to be an ever flying kite.

I will love you till my last breath,
I will help you in every life step,
Our life will run smoothly,
Much like a quality video tape.

I guess I have to go now,
I got work to do.
But, remember I will be there,
I will always be there for you.

The Mountain Girl

The night has spread it's dark armor,
I come out of my hotel room.
Standing on the balcony, I lit a cigar,
The night and the trees are playing bride and groom !!

I order my dinner and take my glass of beer,
I come back to the balcony again,
The winds are howling, the distant rocks rumbling,
I suddenly hear a remote sound of cane.

The winds come to a stand still,
The rumbling comes to halt,
I go numb, the moment I see her,
The silence adds a pinch of salt.

Dressed in a tribal attire,
With a food plate in one hand;
She greets me with a warm smile,
Unable to respond, I foolishly stand.

She keeps the food on the table,
Besides my half empty glass of beer.
I try to remove the glass,
And suddenly we come too near.

Her smell ignites me with Passion,
Her hairs touches my face,
Her touch gives me a tingling sensation,
She has graceful eyes, our visions embrace.

She caresses her hair and smiles again,
She moves away from me,
My heart starts beating even faster,
Really! How beautiful is she!!

She wishes me goodbye and vanishes,
As swiftly as she came.
My heart is still beating fast,
I guess it's for her to tame.

I couldn't even ask her name,
As I was completely lost in thoughts,
But I promise myself to inquire about her,
Certainly, I should give it some shots!!

She is indeed so precious to me,
She is an inaccessible pearl,
She already had me before she left,
She - The Mountain Girl!!

The Rose Plant

The rose plant stands alone in the neighborhood garden,
The young couples gather there and the old leave their burden.
People of all social classes come and go,
The rose plant greets everyone, It stands there to do so.

A thief once came along and slept beside it,
The plant however greeted him, irrespective of his fit,
He was shot in the chest, he was bleeding to death,
In deep sleep, he was trembling with fear,
Next morning, the dead body was taken way,
The plant shed a few drops of tear.

On valentine's day came a lovely couple,
The sat on a bench at the exact opposite,
The plant shed a flower and looked at them happily,
As if had something to see and treat!!

A little child once came playing along,
Her parents were sitting on a distant shade,
She removed one of the flowers from the plant,
It felt agony but nothing could be guessed from it's facade!!

The extraction of  a rose, had given the plant pain,
But it knew the rose had made the child happy,
And it meant to the child as much,
As a piece of bone to a little puppy.

An elderly couple once came along,
They were living on the edge of their life,
The rose plant greeted them with a glee,
They gave each other a high five!!
The old man plucked a rose from the plant,
He gave it to his soul mate.
Life sometimes offers a new beginning, while ending,
The meaning of life is such deep and great.

In such a way, days pass by,
People of all social classes come and go,
The rose plant greets everyone,
It stands there to do so....

First Crush

I loved staying at home, I hated going to school,
School appeared to me like the place of a fool.
I loved wandering across the corn fields,
Looking up towards the sky;
Birds kept flying and chirping,
I Wished,  I could also fly high!

I liked to drive across the highway,
With dark jungles on both sides,
Maybe someday a tiger would come to say hello,
While I drove away on innumerable nights.

The stars glowed brighter,
They covered the whole sky.
The owls hooted and the jackals howled,
I shivered in fear, I occasionally used to cry.

Life was going this way until she came around,
My heart suddenly gave a loud pumping sound.
I got a sudden unknown feeling that changed the route of my life,
She was our new neighbor's wife.

I used to come to my house roof every evening,
She sat on the opposite house roof's garden deck
She used to kiss the flowers and plants,
How I wished, I would also get a peck!!

Her husband abused her and was a heavy drunkard,
She mostly sat on the roof,
One day I gathered the courage to speak to her,
Something in me wanted proof.

I picked up a cardboard and wrote "Hi" on it,
I raised it high over my hands,
She saw me, she smiled and caressed her hair,
Memories are still afresh in the time sands.

Slowly, I became her best friend, she confided in me,
She was more prettier closer than far.
Her mesmerizing eyes, her charming smile took over me,
I forgot my age bar.

I was so happy with her, I used to share everything,
I never knew how time went by,
Her house was my second home,
She used to feed me everyday, she used to cook, bake and re-fry.

Then on the day of my final results,
Happened  the unwanted twist,
I came back with my results,
The city was covered in a mist.

I was planning to go her home but my mom stopped me,
She said they have gone away.
She handed me a letter,
My heart was beating faster, I was turning grey!!

Her husband got transferred and they left the town,
I still have the letter with me.
Whenever, I reread it again,
I still smile with a sad glee.

Thinking of those days and her again,
Increases my adrenaline rush,
I never got the chance to meet her again,
But she was, is and always will be my first crush..

Break up

I am silent, I feel crumbled inside;
I perceive to be numb.
Life has suddenly twisted me,
Showing me a downward thumb.

The pain keeps on increasing,
With every second passing by;
While I am still holding myself down,
On the bed, as I lie!

The parrot screeches loudly;
I cover my ears to prevent the sound.
The empty bottle of whiskey,
Is rolling over the ground.

The empty glass lies on the bedside table,
With a tinge of whiskey left in,
The used condom peeps out,
From the top of the uncleaned dustbin.

I am lying naked,
With a blanket covering my back,
My semen is scattered across the bed,
Her heels are still there on the shoe rack.

The porn is still running silently,
On my laptop screen.
But what I  am thinking about is her,
Her gentle kisses, her silent whispers, her enchanting smile,
Thoughts that are slowly becoming too keen!!

It has been months and she is gone,
She left me at her will,
But the scent of her skin,
Her elegance lingers still.

I am dying to see her once,
But she has blocked me everywhere,
I have decided not to disturb her,
She seems not to care.

Her heels are the only memory,
That I have of her's today
My room is messed up badly,
I have nothing to care for it or to say.

I miss her so much now,
But I guess I will now get up,
It has been exact 3 months,
Since that fateful day, the day of my break up!!!
